Katherine Morgan

Biography

I am a visionary and strategic partner with a proven track record of advancing initiatives with a high impact. I specialize in connecting communities with organizations, empowering individuals, and creating collaborative cultures that deliver bottom-line results. I am passionate about removing barriers to maximize potential, and I apply marketing expertise and finance acumen to position organizations for growth and sustainability. I’m extremely proud of the role I’ve played in bettering lives, building trust among communities, and representing organizations on the local, state, and national levels. Below are some of my proudest career accomplishments:

  • Overseeing and nearly doubling Bank of America Foundation’s local budget within 2 years. I assembled and empowered committee members to review grants and partnered with 40–50 nonprofit organizations to advance priorities such as access to reskilling for jobs, purchasing homes, etc.
  • Introducing BIG 5 to the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce strategy, facilitating a collaborative effort between the organization, members, and community leaders to identify the chamber’s next mission-driven initiatives. We realized a boost in the chamber’s reputation, increased membership rates, and grew the budget as a result.
  • Successfully advocating to receive a combined $500K to advance American Indian communities through Washington State University’s unique health sciences program for tribal communities during my tenure at Bank of America. I became the only executive to win an anchor grant and receive it twice for the same university.
  • Prioritizing professional development and successfully positioning individuals under my leadership to drive success as leaders in other divisions.
